Adoption

Vi har äran att få hänga med Missy & Jeremiah som är här på besök från Zambia! Vi har inte sett dem sedan 2008, då vi alla bodde i samma hus i 6 månader. Just nu jobbar de på ett barnhem och försöker adoptera en liten bebis från Zambia. Där är adoption fortfarande ett främmande fenomen och samtidigt finns det många barn på överfulla barnhem. Även om processen har visat sig vara trög har de lyckats bygga en positiv relation till socialtjänsten, som nu börjar inse fördelarna med adoption. Vilket viktigt arbete!

Missy and Jeremiah are our ever inspiring friends. We used to share a house together back in 2008 and haven't seen them since, until now, as they're here for a visit! They're currently working with orphans in Zambia and are about to adopt a baby. The process has been somewhat slow but along the way they've managed to build good relationships with the Social Services in parts of the country. Although there are many orphanages that are full adoption is very uncommon option. Through the networking of our friends Zambian social workers are now realizing the importance of adoption, which hopefully can pave the way for future adoptions...
