I helgen gifte sig våra vänner Nomzamo och Darlington. Här kommer ett litet bildsvep från dagen;
Mount Nelson Hotel & SPA
Vår treåriga bröllopsdag firade vi på Mount Nelson Hotel i Kapstaden. Det blev ett SPA paket med massage och Afternoon Tea. Stort tack till fina Zoe som gjorde detta möjligt. En helt himmelsk upplevelse (förutom matkomat på slutet).***
We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary at Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town with SPA and Afternoon Tea. All this loveliness thanks to dear Zoe, who spoiled us. A heavenly experience, although we left very full.

Jonathans föräldrar tyckte visst synd om oss, att vi inte kunde vara där och fira Drottning Elizabeth, och skickade därmed denna lilla gottelåda på posten...mumsigt!

Jonathans parents must have felt sorry for us as we couldn't fully celebrate Queen Elizabeth, hence this little goodiebox they sent...yummy!
Like eggs
We watched a movie with Oz the other night, a romcom (romantisk komedi), his favorite. Oz is a man of many sayings, one of my favorites from the night was "My queen, I'll treat her like eggs", relating to the wife he's hoping to find and how he'll take care of her. So, any single ladies out there...?

Hej, hippo!

Sista kvällen i Zambia satt vi bredvid Zambezi floden och grillade. Plötsligt blev vi överraskade av denna runda lilla skapelse. En FLODHÄST! Vid närmre eftertanke, inte så liten. Och som jag väntat! Men han var sur :( Tråkigt. Öppnade hela gapet. Vi satt tydligen på hans revir. Efter att ha legat och tjurat ca 10 meter ifrån oss (!) i ca 5-10 minuter bestämde han sig slutligen för att paddla vidare. Men vilket underbart slut på resan!

Ever since we first arrived in Zambia I really wanted to see a hippo. I thought this would be quite easy, as they're pretty large and we'd hear them making noises in the river each evening and night (for 7 weeks!). But no hippo in sight. UNTIL the very last evening in the camp. We were sat having a braii (a south african bbq), at the Zambezi and there he came. But he was in a mood, kept opening his jaws at us. I think we were sat on his trail. For a while he was just laying there, grumpy, doing the angry game for about 5-10 minutes. Eventually he got bored of this and paddled off. Anyway, what a sweet little gift, to get to see a hippo in the real wild.

Lions Head
Här står vi igen, nästan fyra år senare på toppen av Lions Head.
Sen blev det en snabbfika på Haag inne i Kapstaden. Kul ställe, med snitsig design.

Quinoa Sallad

Vill bara presentera den bästa (och nyttigaste?!) lunchen, nämligen Quinoa Sallad! Fräs lök, paprika, bladspenat med lite grön thai curry och häll över quinoa. Vips, klart! I morgon ska vi återigen bestiga förlovningsberget, Lions Head. Har en ledig vecka och känner mig inte så hurtig just nu, så hoppas, i all hemlighet, att det kommer regna. Men samtidigt minns jag hur vackert det är på toppen... *** Best (and healthiest?) sallad alive, made with Quinoa, onion, pepper, thai green curry paste, spinach and quinoa. Tomorrow we'll once again climb the engagementmountain, Lions Head. Having a week off and feeling rather lazy and not fit enough to climb mountain (pretty much like last time :/) and is secretly hoping it may rain.. But I know the view is incredible, once up there... |
